Whosoever Believeth IN HIM

John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Notice that the verse does not say in him AND someone else or in something else. It does not say in Him and in good works. It does not say in Him and in ceremonies. It does not say in Him and in religion. It does not say in Him and in a church. It does not say in Him and in ourselves. It means IN HIM ALONE. The phrase IN HIM excludes everything else.

John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

No one and nothing else can give us power to become the children of God.

2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

No one and nothing else can make us new creatures.

Revelation 1:5: And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

No one and nothing else can wash us from our sins.

Luke 3:16: John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

No one but Jesus can baptize us with the Holy Ghost.

John 3:3, 6: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 6: That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

No one but the Holy Spirit can cause us to see the Kingdom of God or be born into it.

John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

No one but Jesus can establish a connection between us and the Father.

Psalms 37:23: The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

No one but God can establish our steps.

Ephesians 1:6: To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Being in Jesus is the only way we can be accepted by God.

John 14:2-3: In my Father*s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

No one but Jesus can receive us unto Himself.

Acts 4:12: Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Colossians 2:10: And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

No one but you can receive Jesus on your behalf.
